Overselling
Overselling can be caused by a variety of factors, and it is not always easy to pinpoint the exact cause. Larger catalogs are more prone to overselling due to the nature of syncing via the API.
We rely on the marketplace to provide us with the necessary information, and when this involves thousands of products all updating at once, some items may experience delays in response.
We investigate each case individually, as they can vary significantly and may result from different root causes. It is not a single issue.
As an example: Walmart publicly states that "the processing time of inventory feeds is 30 minutes, so oversells are unavoidable during that period." No integration can improve upon this timeframe.
